The Studio Session
Everything you need to know all in one place.
The Studio
The ground floor photography studio is situated in Shefford, Bedfordshire. There is plenty of parking on the driveway and a big back garden with artificial grass for your dog(s) to decompress before their session. The studio is completely dog friendly so your dog can roam around freely and take things at their own pace. There is also treat jars for the dogs, just in case you forget or run out while you’re in the studio.
Studio Sessions are £159 which includes a 10x8” Print.
You will have the option to use multiple backdrops during your session, giving us the chance to create a varied and beautifully finished collection of portraits.
The session gives plenty of time for up to 2 dogs, energetic pups who need a little time to settle, or senior and sensitive dogs who would benefit from more regular breaks. By working at your dog’s pace in a calm and comfortable environment, we can capture natural, expressive moments that become timeless portraits celebrating their character.
After your session we will book in for your in-person Viewing & Ordering Appointment where you will view all of your images, select your favourites for your print and any further products you’d like. Please see below for more information on additional products and digital collections.
If you have any questions then please get in touch.
The Four Simple Steps…
-

Step One
The first step is to get in touch! Use the contact form here to start the process of booking your dog photography session. You will then receive a questionnaire via email which will ask you all about your dog and their likes and dislikes. Once you’ve sent this back, I will be in touch to go over any questions you have and book in your Session. Please note, no session is booked until your session fee has been received and a confirmation email has been sent.
-
Step Two
It’s time for your session! All sessions are relaxed and no matter how anxious or “bonkers” your dog is, we will allow for plenty of time to capture beautiful images for you to treasure. This is your dogs time to shine and be their true selves.
Please remember to bring your diary along to your session so we can book your Viewing & Ordering Appointment in.
-
Step Three
The Viewing & Ordering Appointment takes place at the studio around 2 weeks after your session. This is a chance for you to sit back, relax and enjoy a slideshow of all your images. You will then be able to choose your favourite images for your Print and any additional products you would like to order. More information on product pricing can be found below.
All orders must be paid for at this appointment so please make sure that all decision makers are present for this appointment.
-
Step Four
It’s time to collect your order! For your Print and any other printed products, around 3 weeks after your Viewing & Ordering Appointment, you will be invited back to the studio to collect your order. You will get to see all your printed products on display before I safely wrap them up, ready for you to take home. Please allow up to 20 minutes for this appointment.
For any digitals in your order, you will be sent a link within 48 hours of your Viewing & Ordering Appointment to download your chosen digitals.

The FAQ
-
As long as they are from the same household, as many as you like! If you have more than 2 dogs then we will allow for extra time for the session to make sure they all get their moment to shine. There is a small charge of £20 per additional dog to cover the extra session time and editing time.
-
I like to try and keep distractions to a minimum for you and your dog during the session. This allows your dog to settle and not get anxious about any sudden noises or distractions during their session.
For this reason, ideally young children would be left at home with a trusted friend or family member but if this will be an issue, please just let me know.
-
This isn’t an issue in the slightest! As a matter of fact, most dogs don’t sit still during their session. They’re walking around having a sniff, a fuss, then they will pose for a few moments and off they go again. It’s perfectly normal. I have a completely relaxed approach and take everything at your dogs pace.
Should they really have a springy temperament, we can pop them on a thin slip lead that I have which I will then edit out of your final images. This helps them to sit for a few moments to capture those stunning images.
-
It is very important to notify me of any quirks, anxieties or reactive behaviours when booking your session (good or bad). This is so I can tailor the session to suit your dog perfectly and make sure they are as comfortable as possible. Most issues can be worked around quite easily. Your dogs safety and happiness is my top priority so I want to get it right for them, first time.
-
We can take as many breaks as your dog needs during their session. I have a fully enclosed back garden with artificial grass and a patio that they can freely walk around and ‘do their business’. I have poop bags on hand too so don’t worry if you forget those.
-
Of course! Please let me know of this ahead of time and we will make sure to capture one or two images of you together.
For your clothing, please choose a colour that compliments your dogs coat colour. Please try to avoid wearing white clothes as these can look quite distracting in your final image.
-
Any financial decision makers need to be present for the Viewing & Ordering Appointment. This is to make sure that any additional products ordered are paid for during the appointment.
-
The Viewing & Ordering appointment gives you the best price on products as ordering after this date will incur an additional fee for setting up a new Viewing & Ordering Appointment.
So, yes, of course you can order after this appointment but it will incur additional fees.
-
No, I don’t. There are many fantastic dog photographers in the UK that offer location sessions but my passion lies in capturing stunning Fine Art style studio images of your dog.
